Today's my last day in Reservations!
I've been looking forward to getting out of the office since the day I stepped in but today I sort of couldn't bear to leave the place because I could freely use the internet and phone.
And since it was out last day, YJ and I decided to go out for lunch (: The weather wasn't cold today although it rained so the more we wanted to head out.
Didn't have a craving for pasta so we had Mac instead.
There were quite a number of trainings planned for us today. In the morning, we went to look for Kristy who's in-charge of Events and she explained to us how the hotel handles big groups and all.
After lunch, Rose gave us training on how to book groups and block rooms.
We then had to meet Hubert because all of us are supposed to change departments in the beginning of next year. We were free to choose which outlet we wanted to go to but it was a tough choice.
In the end, Angela and I decided to try Jade on 36 Restaurant because it's so unique. Nothings final yet though; cuz Hubert actually didn't want 2 people going to the same outlet. But hopefully the restaurant will be willing to take in 2 more staff. *cross fingers*
After meeting up with Hubert, we had another round of wine training by Kelvin Tay. It wasn't as interesting today because there wasn't any tasting!
And after wine training, we went up to RSVN and Bonnie brought us to view the different rooms the hotel has.
We went to both the old tower and new tower to look at different rooms.
There was supposed to be a nice view of The Bund or Pearl Tower in some rooms but because of the mist today, we couldn't see a thing! The mist today was real bad.
We also went to look at the Presidential Suite in the old tower- 2828. That's where PM Goh stayed when he was here for Singapore Evening and omg the room is like an apartment!!
It has a kitchen, dining area, 2 sets of sofas in the living room, 1 office, 1 huge ass toilet with Jacuzzi tub and sauna and obviously a bed. 1 night there cost SGD7000.
We also went to look at the other 2 Presidential Suites in the new tower but when we went to the first one, we saw luggage’s inside! Oops!
But I've already seen that room type on the first day I came here; it was the room Yao Ming booked when he got married then.
I met Joanne and Angela on the way when we were viewing rooms so they came along too (:
After work, I went to Yi Cafe to look for them and waited for them to knock off so we could head to Super Brand Mall.
Oh, the RSVN staff gave both YJ and I a box each of chocolates/biscuits as a farewell gift. It's so sweet of them and I sort of regret not trying to get close to them.
Our day ended off by going to Lotus to grab some necessities and we wanted to cab home. BUT, there was no damn cab in sight! We waited for quite some time and also walked down all the way to Citi Tower but there were still no cabs.
There were some empty cabs we saw but they just didn't wanna stop for us. Ugh. So in the end we had no choice but to walk home carrying all our heavy groceries. Sigh.
I used all my energy walking back I got hungry so I bought shao kao home! I think I'll miss shao kao when I get back to Singapore! Hahaha.
